With the aim of attracting as many participants as possible, and with a short time for working, 10.digital embraced promoting and affirming Carnaval de Buarcos e Figueira da Foz on Facebook, creating a particular and adapted to the moment communication style, based on humor and satire.
It is one of the biggest winter events on the coastal center of the country, organized by Associação do Carnaval de Buarcos/Figueira da Foz. It combines, in a celebratory atmosphere, the tradition of the Portuguese picturesque carnival with the warm rhythms of samba, sparkled with the Samba Schools of the Region.
In 2017 it was the biggest carnival on the center of Portugal, having gathered more than 30 000 people over the course of three days, between two daytime parades and one nighttime parade.
The main focus was the promotion of Carnaval de Buarcos e Figueira da Foz on Facebook.
The process started by adapting offline design to the online. The Facebook page changed name, cover and profile photos, descriptions, etc. Creating the posts and the interaction with the public was also at our charge.
Besides that, we managed the online advertising campaigns.
In order to inform people about the leave for a day off granted by the Portuguese Government for Carnival, this post was created, joking with the situation.
Here, on a more direct and personal communication style, we tried to persuade the undecided, particularly those on locations farther away from Figueira da Foz, that going to the event was a good choice.
A novelty created by Carnaval’s organization in the 2017 edition, that needed to be spread. This way, this post was created with the goal of informing people this "Kit Folião" was available for purchase, guaranteeing them entrance in the various parades, in character.
It was not only a brand awareness promotion post, but it had the commercial objective of selling the "kit" as well.
